Hi, I’m Miguel, software and AI developer from Freamunde, Porto, Portugal.
I didn't start in tech. My background is hospitality, years of it, until a few years ago I decided to become a programmer and never looked back. Outside of code I DJ drum and bass, and I build and fly FPV drones.
What I actually enjoy is solving problems, with or without AI. I build things end to end, including the parts nobody shows in a portfolio: authentication, payments, the migration you run at midnight. Doing all of it myself is how I learned which decisions are cheap now and expensive later.
I try to stay on top of new tech and trends, and right now most of that energy goes into AI development: agents doing real work, not demos. There's a Raspberry Pi at home running one on chores I used to do by hand, and it has taught me more about what these models are genuinely good and bad at than anything I've read.
I work as an AI developer at Quadrante in Porto. Before that, I was a fullstack developer at TheGoodCode.
Now
Work, side projects, and the things I keep coming back to.
- AI development at Quadrante
I joined in September, after working as a fullstack developer at TheGoodCode. AI is now my day job as well as what I keep coming back to at home.
Still the app I open every day to read plans and leave feedback in Markdown. Using it is how I find what to improve next.
Keeping my coding assistants' skills and configuration in one place. I work on the Mac app and the site that explains it.
My latest answer to a bookmark collection I can never find anything in: describe what I remember and search by meaning. The app and its site are both mine.

My personal agent, running on a Raspberry Pi and talking to me on WhatsApp. An ongoing lesson in what I can hand over and what still needs me.
